Learning a new language can be so much fun. All you need are engaging and simple hands-on activities. And the best part is? I will make them for you.
Why not start with a board game? Gather your materials: scissors, glue, colored pencils, and let’s not forget the free printables. You can begin by printing the dice 1, a board game, and recording sheets for each player. Use scissors to cut out the dice and glue to assemble it. Grab the playing pieces and place them at the start. Lay down the recording sheet in front of each child, and have them choose one colored pencil.
Are your little ones excited? Of course, they are. It’s game time. Have your kiddos roll the dice, read the verb and place the playing piece on the correct image, representing the corresponding object. Next, they grab the colored pencil, find the correct verb and color the right noun (object). The winner is the player who gets to the board game’s end first.
Roll. Color. Learn Serbian.
What is the best way to make learning easy? Activities that are simple and allow kids to have fun are the key. I’m obsessed with roll-the-dice games. Children move, have fun, and learn. Have them practice the alphabet, spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. The possibilities are endless, and I promise they will have a blast.
It’s time to set it up. Gather your materials: glue, scissors, colored pencils, dice 1, dice 2, and recording sheets printables.
Start by printing the pdf. Use glue and scissors to put the dice together. Please, make sure each player has a recording sheet and a colored pencil before they start rolling the dice.
The rules are simple: Kids roll dice 1, then dice 2, read the verb, and read the noun (object). If they match, players must grab a colored pencil and color in the right image. The child that colors one column first is the winner.
Here’s an easy way to revise verb and object agreement in Serbian.
The truth is, building Serbian vocabulary can be challenging. But what can we do to make it simple? With this in mind, I created my first building sentence set. Why do I love this activity? It is super easy to set up, and kids master Serbian grammar, new words in Serban, and sentence structure step by step.
Grab scissors and colored pencils. Print off the pdf. Use scissors to cut out the strips. Let kids grab one colored pencil and one building sentence strip. How to use the strips? Just follow the steps:
1. Have children look at the image, grab a colored pencil, and color in the correct pronoun.
2. Next, they must highlight the verb.
3. Finally, let kids color in the corresponding noun.
