Place the bottle caps on the table or floor, with nouns in Nominative facing up. Ask your kiddo to take one bottle cap, read the noun aloud, and put the noun in the Locative case.

question cards

I love creating hands-on activities for learning the Serbian language. I think the best way for your kiddos to learn is by doing. There is much more to learning Serbian grammar than filling out worksheets. I am happy when I can turn a boring worksheet into a fun activity.

Gather your supplies. Question cards and bottle caps sentences printables. Large bottle caps, scissors, glue, and four bowls.

Setting up this activity is super easy

You can start by printing out question cards and bottle cap printables. Use scissors to cut out the cards along the dotted line.

Now, it’s time to DIY bottle cap sentences. Grab the scissors and cut out the printable, and use glue to place the words on the tops of the bottle caps. Arrange the bottle caps in the bowl. Nouns go in the first bowl, the verb to be (je) in the second bowl, prepositions (u,na) in the third bowl, and nouns in Locative in the last bowl.

Place the bowls in front of your child. Put all question cards in one pile and lay them out in front of your kiddo.

Have your child pick one card and read the question aloud. Now, it’s time to use the correct bottle caps and build a sentence. Let your child choose the proper noun in Nominative, the verb to be ( je), the correct preposition( u, na), and the noun in Locative Case.

serbian locative case free worksheets

If you want to reinforce what your kids have just learned, I have prepared two simple worksheets. To set up this activity, you need Correct the Sentences printable, a pencil, and a kiddo who is eager to learn.

Kids love when they can get into a role of a teacher. Let them pick their favorite pencil and one printable. They must read a sentence aloud. Now, your kiddo has to rewrite the sentences and put the noun marked red in the Locative Case.
