Are you looking for free printables to encourage your kids to learn new Serbian words? I have prepared three fun and easy-to-set-up activities. Fun activities are the key. Learning a new language is a piece of cake when your kiddos are having fun. If you offer your kids engaging activities, they will be eager to learn. It’s as simple as that.
Print.Play.Learn Serbian
How to make learning Serbian fun and easy? Play games. It’s no secret kids of all ages love games. Would you like your children to have a blast and learn the alphabet, new words, or even grammar? Sounds great?
With this in mind, I prepared a simple and low-prep game. To set up this game, all you need are a board game printable, a dice, and some playing pieces. You can start by printing the game. You are all set if you have a die and playing pieces at the start. Let the fun begin!
Have your kiddos take turns rolling a die, name the season they land on, and point at the image that represents the season. The players must name the missing season if they land on the blank spot.
Learn Serbian words without worksheets
Are you sick of using worksheets your kids don’t like? I feel you. Do you need a quick, effective activity that doesn’t require a lot of prep? These task cards are perfect for you. I was so excited when I came up with my first set of cards to help kids learn the alphabet. I was on a mission to create a great alternative to worksheets.
Now, let’s go back to setting up this activity. Gather your supplies. You only need two things: free printables and scissors. Use scissors to cut out the task cards and lay down the cards in front of your child.
Have your kids read and answer the questions correctly:
- Read a word, and look at the image. Are they matched correctly?
- Check out the image and name the correct season the image represents.
- Read the words and say what season is missing.
- Read the name of the season and say what season comes next.
- Read the months and name the correct season.
Worksheets can be effective, too. But sometimes, you need a break from them. If this is the case, check out these cards and have your kids revise seasons and months in Serbian quickly and easily.
Print. Roll a die. Learn
If you are looking for a more active way to help kids build their Serbian vocabulary, the Roll a dice activity is a way to go. Trust me. Kids love to learn by doing. Use every opportunity to get them excited about learning. Kids roll a die, compete, have so much fun and learn as they do. Another thing I love about this activity is that you can roll a die, too. Why not? Grab a die and have fun rolling the dice with your kiddos.
Gather your supplies: free printable die, recording sheet, scissors, glue, and bingo markers. Let’s assemble the die. Use glue and scissors to put it together. Use scissors to cut out the recording sheets for each player.
Please, note that recording sheets come in two versions:
- sheet with images
- sheet with words
Each player will get one recording sheet. Have your kiddos roll a die, read the season name and use bingo markers to cover the correct image/ word representing the season. If the player rolls a circle, they must miss a turn. The winner is a child who covers all the images/ words.
Will you try these activities with your kiddos?
